While leaving the room just take the card out and the lights will get deactivated automatically. This saves around 20% of the energy costs.

Crosby Street Hotel is that rare green hotel in the mayhem called New York City. It has received a Gold LEED certification and the most unique feature of the hotel is the rooftop garden. Believe it or not, there is a chicken coop in the garden and the hotel grows organic fruits and vegetables in this very garden for the hotel kitchen! It also offers organic food and bath products and environment friendly cleaning supplies.

Townsend Hotel, Birmingham
This 4 star lodging in Michigan has everything that a sophisticated green traveler can demand whilst on a vacation. The hotel is known for its reusable kitchenware and newspapers. The water system in the hotel has been equipped with low flow systems to save the precious water. The other green facilities provided by the hotel include paperless checkout, recycled blankets and biodegradable pens.
