As we get ready for the sprightly spring season, we will be reminiscing about last month’s hottest new songs we danced around to. This past month brought us new songs from established artists, as well as catchy new hits from upcoming novices. Here is a listing of last month’s musical selections.
To start off, we begin with Justin Timberlake with his third album, 20/20 Experience. There are a number of hit singles in this album such as “Mirrors” and “Suit & Tie.” He gave us all a sneak peak of this new album at this year’s annual Grammys award function. The album is set to have a record sale of more than seven million dollars within the year worldwide. Both songs have a catchy rhythm to them and are sure to be played repeatedly in stereo system.
Next comes Taylor Swift with the song “I Knew You Were Trouble.” This song is a beautiful deviation of the usual country music she sings. It looks like she is coming to terms with the changing circumstances in her life at this time. You can compare this song with Lana Del Rey’s “Ride” to see how teens today face challenges in their lives.
The British music group Stooshe is next on this list with the extremely trendy song “Black Heart.” We especially love all the colorful cosmetics and costumes they use to glam up the music video. The music video is essential in making the song attract the many millions of fans that it has.
Another catchy song is Flo Rida’s “Whistle.” This song is also fun and exciting with an upbeat rhythm and tune. Once again, the music video and music technology is essential in making the song stand out from the rest.
Lastly, “Scream & Shout” by will.i.am featuring Britney Spears is cool, with both of them together on the front stage. The music video is technicolor even with a very limited color scheme.
