The Hangover Part 3 May 24th- The Wolf Pack is back in what promised to be the closing of this crazy chapter that inspired Vegas mayhem since The Hangover hit theaters back in 2008. Bradley Cooper, Zack Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong reprise their roles as the story comes back full circle bringing the group back to Las Vegas where it all began after Alan’s (Galifianakis) father passes away. While much of the storyline and plot were kept under wraps in true Hangover fashion the trailer promises much hilarity and craziness that kept audiences in awe and laughter. Cameos from John Goodman, Mike Epps and Heather Graham are rumored which add to the further intrigue of how this hilarious comedy will close out its final chapter.
The Internship June 7th– Our favorite Wedding Crashers duo reunited once again for a new take on the classic world of interning. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson play men who lost their jobs to the increasingly tech savvy generation and they must find a way to regain employment through interning at Google. The hoops and jumps they must go through to prove themselves worthy against recent college graduates show much comedic promise as they are accompanied by Rose Byrne (X-Men First Class), John Goodman and Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf). These two comedic heavy weights never fail to disappoint with their quips and banter, and seeing adults trying to use modern technology never fails to generate a laugh no matter your age!
Man of Steel June 14th- We have all heard and seen the story of Superman. Whether you’re a fan of the original series staring Christopher Reeves, loved him in the 90’s TV show played by Dean Cain, or saw the movie Superman Returns that debuted in 2006 we just can’t get enough of him. Man of Steel brings a heavyweight all star cast with Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Amy Adams as we see Superman raised from child to manhood in our generation. From Director Zack Synder (Watchmen) and executive produced by Christopher Nolan (Dark Knight Trilogy) the story of a young man who is sent to earth and becomes a protector of all things good is something that never gets old. The exploration of his character and who he is as a person is an aspect of the storyline that has yet to be done adequately on film. The trailer already promises we’re going to see a deeper side to Clark Kent/Superman than ever before.Get your cape ready as it flies into theaters this summer!
The Heat June 28th– America’s sweetheart and queen of comedy plan to give you a good laugh as Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy mix it up with a tad of sass and sweat in the only leading female movie this summer! This comedic female duo will bring it to the screen this summer as an FBI agent and Boston Cop paired together to take down a drug lord in The Heat. While it may sound a bit Ms. Congeniality, fear not, both are highly independent females and their biggest challenge is working together as partners who will help develop some interesting dynamic in the justice system. These ladies both have several comedies to both their names and bringing them together for an action comedy could show a new twist on the sexes in Hollywood, Bring it On ladies!
The Wolverine July 16th– Hugh Jackman is back playing legendary X-Men Wolverine set in Japan where he faces an enemy from the past who is set on changing his future. Like most X-Men movies, it relies heavily on origin stories and deep character insight on who they are as humans versus mutants and the next installment in the Wolverine franchise is no different. The return of fan favorite Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) will be a new twist as she helps Wolverin grapple with his immortality against many samurai wielding foes. A few new mutants are introduced, Viper and Silver Samurai, but none additional from the X-Men franchise we know of just yet. The story will stand entirely on its own which will be something new and refreshing for fans craving for more angry, claw driven action from Hugh Jackman!
